"Gli Azzurri" can rival

Italian media reported, the Italian Football Federation  (FIGC) has designed a friendly match between "Gli Azzurri" and the Ivory Coast, in London, 10 August.  This is a  delightful  surprise  since  Italy  had trouble finding  a rival.

Italy perform badly at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Under the guidance of Marcello Lippi, they were eliminated in the group phase without even recorded a victory.

Italy is not much public comment on the failure of Lippi, because whatever their outcome at the World Cup, Lippi has definitely replaced Cesare Prandelli. Instead of chewing on mistakes Lippi, Prandelli urged the public vote to make changes and restore the good name of Italy.

According to reports in Italy, Prandelli consider calling the new names in the squad "Gli Azzurri" and test them in a friendly match before determining the squad for European Championship qualifiers.

Whether because of their performance in South Africa or not, the obvious difficulty in obtaining Italian rival, until finally the national team of Côte d'Ivoire accept their proposal.
